Off to Auckland, New Zealand

We began the New Zealand portion of our trip with a brief stay in Auckland and a day of wine tasting on lovely Waiheke Island.
We headed out of Melbourne to the Yarra Valley, home to a mere 105 wineries, for a day of wine tasting and lovely scenery.
Our tour of Melbourne and its suburbs showed what an architecturally diverse city it is. From the impressive skyscrapers and heritage buildings to beautifully landscaped parks and gardens, it’s easy to see why it was recently named the most livable city in the world by Forbes magazine.
A travel day…Kangaroo Island to Adelaide, where we had a 4 hour layover and visited the beachside suburb of Glenelg, then on to Melbourne.
